So what exactly is Botox? Botox is a naturally occurring “toxin” produced by bacteria. It blocks the signal from your brain that tells a muscle to move. In the presence of “botox”, a muscle will not respond to the “move now” signal from your brain.

As with most fillers, the results may take a few days to show. Many patients report minimal pain. There may be some initial mild redness, swelling, or bruising, which should resolve quickly. The reaction is similar to getting a shot at your general practitioner.
